Vervantis has established itself as a global leader in sustainability practices by achieving the highly coveted EcoVadis Platinum accreditation for sustainable practices, ranking it in the top 1% of more than 90,000+ companies EcoVadis evaluate globally every year.
The objective of the EcoVadis assessment methodology is to assess the quality of a company’s sustainability management system through its policies, actions, and results. The assessment focuses on 21 issues grouped into 4 themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.
Environmental, social, and ethical performance – or Sustainability – is an essential factor for smart business today. More and more companies, including our trading partners, are under immense pressure to improve their transparency and sustainability practices. In fact, 91% of companies take sustainability criteria into account in purchasing decisions.
Having achieved and maintained SOC2 Type II certification since 2019, achieving independent validation and recognition from EcoVadis for its efforts in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental awareness was the next most important objective for the business. As the business expands its operations, maintaining and improving Environmental Social Governance (ESG) & CSR credentials for clients, employees, and stakeholders is vital.
As a provider of CDP, GRESB, DJSI (S&P Global), GRI, and SASB accredited sustainability reporting software, Vervantis is all too aware of the importance of its environmental performance to its existing and prospective customer base.
Vervantis President Dan Moat was delighted commenting “This is a fantastic result for Vervantis demonstrating how diligently we measure and account for ourselves, our processes and procedures in the sphere of sustainability. This fantastic achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work not only of our sustainability team but the ongoing support of all staff who take the environment seriously from the simple acts of conserving resources, recycling, and the avoidance of single-use plastics and packaging. It was incredibly inspiring to see how everyone worked to improve following our Gold accreditation last year, which in itself was no small feat. As always, there is more that we can all do, and Vervantis is looking at all areas of the business to sharpen its ESG and CSR credentials, EcoVadis provides a road map to excellence and even greater performance. Vervantis once again is reviewing areas for improvement and we have a range of new initiatives planned over the next reporting period which we hope will deliver even greater recognition for Vervantis as a vendor of choice”.
