Vervantis has recently achieved the EcoVadis Gold sustainability award for sustainable practices, ranking it in the top 5% of the more than 75,000 companies evaluated.

The objective of the EcoVadis assessment methodology is to assess the quality of a company’s sustainability management system through its policies, actions, and results. The assessment focuses on 21 issues grouped into 4 themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Environmental, social, and ethical performance – or Sustainability – is an essential factor for smart business today. More and more companies, including our trading partners, are under immense pressure to improve their transparency and sustainability practices. In fact, 91% of companies take sustainability criteria into account in purchasing decisions.

Having achieved and maintained SOC2 Type II certification since 2019, achieving independent validation and recognition from EcoVadis for its efforts in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental awareness was the next most important objective for the business.  As the business expands its operations, maintaining and improving Environmental Social Governance (ESG) & CSR credentials for clients, employees, and stakeholders is vital.

As a provider of CDP, GRESB, DJSI, GRI, and SASB accredited sustainability reporting software, Vervantis is all too aware of the importance of its environmental performance to its existing and prospective customer base.

Vervantis President Dan Moat was pleased but not complacent saying “Obviously we are delighted with today’s EcoVadis gold sustainability award and the recognition it provides not just for our company, but for all our employees, who have worked diligently to be as socially and environmentally aware as we can be. However, there is always more that can be done and one of the great things about programs such as EcoVadis, is they provide a pathway to even greater performance. We are already reviewing several areas for improvement and we have a range of new initiatives planned over the next reporting period which we hope will deliver even greater recognition for Vervantis as a vendor of choice”.
